According to news published on the Yahoo site, Thailand, a predominantly Buddhist country, is now one of the largest exporters of halal food in the world.

In 2021, Thailand ranked 15th among the top halal food exporters in the world.

With its halal food exports worth almost US$6 billion in 2021/2022, the country is targeting a 3% increase in 2023.

Rice, sugar, canned seafood, processed fruit and vegetable products, non-alcoholic beverages, organic and functional foods are among Thailand's top halal food exports.
