State will open international office in Dubai on February 10 and have appointments with a corporate delegation led by governor João Doria from February 8 to 13.
The government of São Paulo will take a delegation with representations of 50 companies to the United Arab Emirates due to the opening of the state’s international office in Dubai on February 10. The corporate mission will last from February 8-13 and, aside from the opening, will feature visits to key locations for the Arab country’s economy, such as Masdar City and DP World port terminal operator’s headquarters.
The delegation will include representations of companies, banks and institutions such as Sabesp (São Paulo water and waste management company), Itaú BBA, Machado Mayer Advogados, BRF, Itapemirim, Kidy Calçados, Natural One, Colormaq, JBS, Marfrig, Logum Logística, Katayama Alimentos, National Industry Confederation (CNI), Karina Plásticos, DataRisk, Braslog, Gocil, Broto Legal, T’Trans, Complexo Industrial Fazenda Bahia, Braslog, Banco ABC Brasil, BR Products Trading, Brazilian Machinery Builders’ Association (ABIMAQ), and others.
The group is scheduled to visit Brazilian animal protein company BRF plant in Khalifa Industrial Zone in Abu Dhabi, where it produces processed poultry and beef fooditems. The mission will also visit the works of Expo 2020 world exhibition, which Dubai will host from October 2020 to April 2021; Dubai Science Park – an area that gathers startups and scientific research projects; Dubai Future Foundation – a body where the private and public sector draw strategies for the future of the Dubai emirate.
February 11 will see a seminar at Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where representations of SP government will talk on the economic and foreign relations perspectives for SP state, opportunities in agribusiness, industrial technology and innovation, logistics and transport as well as the state’s privatization projects. Governor João Doria, who’ll lead the mission, will open the seminar.
According to information made public by SP government, nine out of the state’s ten economic hubs will be represented in the missions. Besides businesspeople and corporate professionals, the delegation will feature thirteen journalists and representations of other areas of the government, such as the state’s Investment Promotion Agency (Investe SP), the secretariats of Agriculture, Communication, Economy, Transports, Foreign Relations and Economic Development, as well as chief of Staff.
