Last month saw USD 8.21 million worth of product shipped from Brazil last month. Meats led the way, with sales also increasing for maize, cotton, and orange juice.
Agribusiness exports from Brazil fetched USD 8.21 billion in November, up 1% from November 2018, the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supplyreported this Tuesday (10). Shipped volume was up 6%, while average price slid 4.7%.
Meat exports were up 22.1% year-on-year to USD 1.56 billion, driven by China, whose meat imports from Brazil came out to USD 686 million in November.
Exports also soared in November for maize (13.7%), cotton (12.3%) and orange juice (174.4%).
Year-to-date through November, agribusiness exports from Brazil grossed USD 89.33 billion, down 3.7% year-on-year.
