Ankara will host the First International Halal Accreditation Congress from April 6 to 8, bringing together governments, scientists, and industry leaders to address the fragmentation of halal certification standards worldwide.
Currently, differing national requirements create technical trade barriers, forcing companies to obtain multiple certifications, undergo repeated audits, and adapt products for different markets. This increases costs and complexity while affecting consumer confidence.
Organized by Türkiye’s Halal Accreditation Agency (HAK), the congress aims to advance discussions toward a unified accreditation framework, potentially reducing barriers and strengthening the global halal economy.
